Approximate values calculated from generic ingredient weights and divided by the stated servings. Includes every listed topping, sauce, and cooking oil; brands, drained weights, and substitutions change the results. 12 small cups; 3 cups per serving.
Equipment
Blender, standard muffin pan, 12 paper or silicone liners
Allergens and ingredient notes: Milk, pistachios. Honey is included in the estimate. One nutrition serving is 3 cups, not 1 cup. Snack portions; not a meal replacement.
Step by step
- Line all 12 wells of a standard muffin pan with paper or silicone liners. Set aside 80 g of the mango; cut those pieces into small ¼-inch cubes.
- Blend the remaining 250 g mango with yogurt, cottage cheese, honey, lime juice, cardamom, and vanilla for 45–60 seconds, scraping down the blender as needed, until completely smooth.
- Divide mixture evenly among the 12 liners, about ⅓ cup in each. Do not fill above the rim. Divide reserved mango and pistachios over the tops, pressing them lightly into the surface.
- Freeze level for at least 5 hours, until firm. Once frozen, transfer the lined cups to an airtight freezer container.
- For each serving, remove 3 cups, peel away liners, and let stand 10–15 minutes until soft enough to bite or spoon. The texture is dense frozen yogurt, not churned ice cream; do not serve rock-hard.
The Devotti twist: Blended cottage cheese disappears into a mango-lassi base, while cardamom and pistachio give the freezer treat an aromatic finish.
Make ahead and storage
Freeze airtight for up to 1 month. Soften only the cups you plan to eat. Do not repeatedly thaw and refreeze; return unused frozen portions promptly to the freezer.
